The Story

Colombia, Valle Del Cauca
Varietal:  Colombia
Process: Natural
Altitude: 1400 - 1860masl

Dragon Fruit, Martini, Cacao Dusting

This coffee comes from Café Granja La Esperanza, a pioneering Colombian producer run by the Herrera family, whose work since the 1940s has helped redefine specialty coffee through variety innovation and advanced processing. The coffee is grown across their estates in Valle del Cauca, including farms such as Las Margaritas, La Esperanza, Potosí and Cerro Azul, each carefully matched with specific cultivars and fermentation styles to achieve competition-level quality. Beyond flavour, CGLE has a strong social and environmental focus: workers are paid around 24.6% above the national average, seasonal staff are provided with on-site accommodation, and long-running projects like the Las Margaritas school support the children of coffee pickers, while over 20% of their land is protected as natural reserve, safeguarding local biodiversity and strengthening the long-term resilience of the surrounding communities.
